IPCoMM Board of Directors Annual Meeting

IPCoMM Board of Directors annual meeting is scheduled for November 14-15, 2011 at the Hilton Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska. Some focuses of the meeting will be: Marine Mammal Subsistence Co-Management Agreements between Federal Agencies and IPCoMM Alaska Native Organizations; IPCoMM Student Program; Marine Mammal Harvest Monitoring Workshops; Reauthorization of the MMPA Proposed Amendments; Federal Agency Marine Mammal Activities Reports; and IPCoMM Commission/Council/Committee reports.

IPCoMM staff is arranging logistics for a Grants Writing Class "Grant Application Narrative" and Budget Preparation Class "How to Prepare the Grant Application Budget" for IPCoMM member Alaska Native organizations that hold subsistence co-management agreements with NOAA or subcontract to an ANO that holds such an agreement. Management Concepts is sponsoring these classes. Participants would receive in-depth instruction on techniques for developing effective grant application narratives, as well as budget preparation.
